My Listing Says Live But I Can't Find It in Search

Why a live listing might not appear in your search and how to verify.

Live Listing Not Appearing in Search

Your listing shows as "Live" or "Published" in your dashboard, but when you search for it on the site, you can't find it. Here's what might be going on.

1. Browser Cache

Your browser may be showing you a cached (old) version of search results. Try searching in an incognito or private browser window. This is the most common reason owners can't find their own listings.

2. Geographic Search Radius

Search results are filtered by location. If you're searching for a city and your listing address is technically in a neighboring city or suburb, it might not appear in that exact search. Try broadening your search area or searching by state.

3. Timing After Publishing

If you just purchased your marketing package, there can be a short delay (usually a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour) before your listing fully appears in all search results and pages. Give it a little time.

4. SEO / Google Indexing

If you're searching on Google (not on salonrenter.com), it takes time for search engines to index new pages. Your listing is live on the Salon Renter site immediately, but Google can take days or weeks to pick it up. This is normal.

5. Verify Your Status

Double-check your listing status:

  1. Log in and go to My Listings
  2. Confirm the status says Live or Published
  3. Click View to open your listing page directly

Still Not Showing?

If your listing is confirmed Live and you can't find it even in an incognito browser on salonrenter.com, email help@salonrenter.com and I'll look into it right away.
