I'm Not Getting Any Inquiries
Troubleshooting checklist for listings that aren't generating interest.
Not Getting Inquiries
Your listing is live, but the phone isn't ringing and your inbox is quiet. Let's work through the most common reasons.
Check Your Photos
This is almost always the first thing to fix. Are your photos:
- Well-lit? Dark or dim photos are a dealbreaker
- High quality? Blurry or pixelated images drive renters away
- Comprehensive? Show every part of the space, not just one angle
- Numerous? More photos are always better
If you only have 2-3 dark photos, that's likely the problem right there.
Check Your Description
Is it detailed and specific? Or is it vague and generic? Renters want to know exactly what they're getting. Use the Writing Prompts feature if you need help putting together a solid description.
Check Your Pricing
Is your pricing listed clearly? Renters tend to skip listings that say "Contact for pricing." If your rates are competitive for the area, show them. If they're on the higher end, make sure the rest of your listing justifies the price.
Check Your Amenities
Did you fill out the full amenities checklist? Renters filter by amenities. If you haven't checked the boxes, you might not be appearing in filtered searches.
Check Your Response Time
Have you received inquiries before but stopped getting them? If you were slow to respond to previous inquiries, that can affect your reputation. Future renters may have moved on to more responsive owners.
Consider Your Package Tier
If you're on a Basic Listing, your listing appears in standard search results. A Featured Listing gets priority placement, which can make a big difference in competitive markets.
